What insurance do bricklayers need?
Public Liability
Bricklaying happens at height and over other people's property. If a tool or a course of bricks drops, a wall fails, or someone is hurt near your scaffold, public liability responds to the claim and the legal costs. Builders usually require $10m or $20m.
Tools & Equipment
Brick saws, mixers, levels, lines and hand tools are easily stolen from site or a ute. Tools cover replaces the gear your crew can't lay without.
Personal Accident & Illness
Bricklaying is physically demanding work. If you're injured and can't lay, personal accident and illness cover replaces your income while you recover.
Contract Works
On bigger jobs, contract works covers your brickwork and materials in progress, against storm, theft and damage, before the build is handed over.
Workers Injury
Running a gang? Workers cover protects you when a labourer or apprentice is hurt on site, in line with your state's requirements.
